8 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped into small pieces
1 cup butter
5 eggs
3 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Cookies:
3/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp pepper
1 pinch cayenne pepper
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
