Berry Applesauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups peeled, cored, and chopped apples
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen (unsweetened) strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen apple juice concentrate
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook over very low heat for about 25 minutes, or until apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
  3. Mash lightly or purée in a food processor, if desired.
  4. Serve either hot or cold.
